Small, Eat-In Kitchen

Location: Denver, CO

Designer Credits: Sandy Schuster

Project Overview:

Talking with the client, they wanted a “wow” factor in their small eat-in kitchen. They wanted to incorporate the color blue into their design and find a solution to pets and kids tracking in dirt. As a plant lover, they also requested a place to display all of their succulents.

To update the kitchen’s look, Sandy had the lower cabinets professionally painted, replaced handles with brass pulls, added a new sink faucet, and introduced a pendant light. A new table, chairs and artwork were added to flood the space in blue.  Instead of new tile for the backsplash, Sandy used a high performance wallpaper that resembles tile. To fight dirt and grim, washable rugs were added. Finally, Sandy found that the south facing window was the perfect place to place their succulents, installing acrylic plant holders there.
